DOWNLIGHTS
In theory, lighting spaces with high ceilings is not a difficult task, however the reality can be more complex. Walls need to be evenly and
proportionately lit and general illumination and light distribution with the necessary spacing needs to be established. Accent of objects such as
planters, statues, information booths or reception desks needs to be crisp and stand out from the general illumination; the standard 40º cut-off
across the Performance Cone range provides a beam ideal for this type of accent lighting.
Darklight reflectors have pre-determined cut-off angles, which, within the reflector, ensure it appears dark. When using darklight reflectors the visual
appearance in the ceiling is the same regardless of which lamps or beam angles are used, resulting in no direct or reflected glare. Darklight reflectors
only appear illuminated when encroaching within the cut off angle.
Wall-washers are designed to give an even transition to the wash between the ceiling and floor and appear visually undifferentiated from the
downlights.
